We had the pleasure of creating this pink and gold party for a lovely 17th birthday party.  Our birthday girl found photos of everything she loved on Pinterest and we not only recreated, but we also kicked it up a notch!   From the wooden pallet picnic tables to the henna artist and inflatable obstacle course, this was surely a party to remember.

The first feature of this party was the photo station.  Our birthday girl had her own Polaroid camera and wanted to have a picture guestbook as a keepsake so we created this photo corner of their sport court.

First, guests found their name which was pinned on the fence as shown below.

Here’s a closer view of the names that we displayed on a festive pink and gold dot garland.  The names were printed on a lovely note card embellished with pink flowers.

Next, the guests grabbed a prop from our super fun prop area.

And then they posed in front of our gold sequinned backdrop.  Since our birthday girl was celebrating her 17th birthday, we included a large “17” pink balloon set for the backdrop.  It fit in perfectly for our glittery pink and gold color scheme.

And lastly, the guests placed the photo with their name label with the clothes pin.  What a cute idea and fun way to keep memories of the party!

This picture features the far end of the sport court.  You will see the gold glittery photo backdrop on the right and then the drink canopy in the middle and candy buffet on the left.

From this angle you can see the dessert table, paper lanterns and pallet tables.  We will take a closer look at these individual displays below.

Our dessert table was enjoyed by all guests.  The birthday girl gave us a picture of the cake she wanted and Elise recreated it perfectly.  The pink and gold glitter cupcakes and fruit wands make this dessert table complete.

The pink curly willow table skirt really brings out a whimsical feature for this dessert display.

Edible gold glitter gave these cupcakes a great sparkle!

Our candy buffet table also doubled as a fun favor for guests.  The birthday girl let us know her favorite types of candy and we had a lot of fun searching for the perfect pink and gold treats to match her taste.  The gorgeous pink rosette tablecloth provided a great look for this elegant display.

The next fun station for guests was the drink canopy.  A gold satin cover and pink ruffle curtain comprised the canopy and we hung these fun star lanterns along the curtain to add an additional fun decoration for this display.  We also used a gold curly willow table skirt to the table which we just adore!  Drinks included water and the guest favorite, pink lemonade.

Another fun favor for the guests was cotton candy in the party colors of pink and gold.  We used a gold pin tuck tablecloth for this favor table which paired nicely with the treats.

Guests had so much fun with the glow sticks and color war station.

Since the party went late into the evening, a glow stick bar was a fun way to light up the night.  The teens could make glasses, headbands, necklaces, bracelets and other fun wearable items.

A color war is a new trendy activity for guests.  First, everyone put on plain white T-shirts and then they grabbed a few of the color packets.  The packets included powder material of various colors such as red, pink, yellow, green, blue, purple and orange.

And what exactly is a color war you may ask…..please see below.

Guests opened the color powder packets and then threw the power on each other and around the designated color war area.  After the party, everyone was so colorful!  They had a great time surprising each other with the colored powder bursts.  It was certainly hilarious to watch.

The next feature we will detail is the wooden pallet seating area.

Our birthday girl provided us with a photo of a pallet picnic table and said she wanted it recreated for her party so we did just that…and then some!

We lined the sides with blankets and pillows.  We tried as best as possible to include blankets and pillows in the party colors of pink and gold.

The middle of the table was lined with gold satin runners and topped with pink vintage style bottles filled with Thryptomene Calycina that we found at a local wholesale florist shop.  Since this was an evening party, we also included pink votive holders to add additional lighting in the area.

To provide additional lighting in this area, we also included large white lanterns filled with fairy lights both in the middle of the tables as well as at the end of the tables.

This walkway area leads from the sport court to the obstacle course.  We anchored balloons to the ground by using fishing twine and golf tees.  In the background of this picture you will see the hot dog cart positioned in front of the sport court.

Below you will see the giant inflatable obstacle course that was brought in to entertain guests.  It was huge and the guest had an absolute blast competing against one another on this fun activity.

Since there were several lighting components to this party, we wanted to include pictures of the details in the evening.  Below you will see the obstacle course and walkway as well as the star gobos on the fence.  All balloons had a blinking light which added lots of festiveness to this celebration.

Here are final pictures of the sport court decor in the evening.  It was such a lovely display.

This picture details the drink canopy star lanterns.  They looked so great against the canopy backdrop.

The photo backdrop was lighted by using an LED net.

The table decor is featured in this photo.  You can really see how elegant the large lanterns as well as the gold votive candles look on the pallet tables.

Finally, these last two pictures give a great overview of the sport court area at night.  The birthday girl and her parents were beyond thrilled with our execution of their vision and we were quite pleased as well.  We hope you also enjoyed the beautiful details of this magical party.
