We hope you enjoy these photos from an engagement party that we organized for Elise. The theme was “Fall In Love” and we used the warm colors of autumn as our inspiration.
We created this banner for the mantle area of the home and used a fall themed garland to accent the design.
One of the ways we personalized the event was with signature cocktails. We partnered with one of the top mixologists in San Antonio (Jesse Torres of Mezcaleria Mixtli) to create cocktails that were inspired by the couple and their relationship. Jesse used their favorite flavors and some inside jokes to create an absolutely memorable experience. The first cocktail was “The Snail”, named after their affectionate Anatolian Shepard, Seth.
The 2nd cocktail was for John and called the “Monkey Backpack” and was a huge hit.
The dining room area set the stage for the food. The chefs at Mixtli prepared a delicious and unforgettable meal. The table décor was kept simple since the food was the star. We used a white tablecloth with a burlap runner and accented the runner with mini pumpkins and assorted fall decorations. The candle holders were filled with corn, lentils and red kidney beans to really accentuate the theme. We also used tin cans wrapped in burlap with pearl strands and a fall foliage a with mini scarecrow as a filler.
We also used lots of brown, orange and yellow colored placemats, photos of the couple, mini pumpkins, candles and flowers.
For the buffet area we used paper mache letters for their initials and a heart with burlap flowers as décor.
The foyer area of the home was used to welcome the party guests and in lieu of a guestbook the guests were asked to write advice for the couple on notecards which were later placed in a keepsake book.
We also set 2 tables on the patio to provide additional seating for guests. We used a white tablecloth along with gold runners and small floral arrangements to add that pop of color. Since the party was held in the evening, we also used mason jars with lace and candles to add soft lighting.
You will also notice wine bottles lining the flower beds. We cut the bottoms off of the wine bottles and put candles under them for additional mood lighting.
Here are photos of the lighting we used as the sun went down. Notice the wine bottles with candles in the background. We used Christmas lights to form a canopy over the patio as well to provide additional lighting.
