Garden Babyshower

One of our favorite clients hired us for a baby shower at her home.  We were asked to do a garden theme that included pink, white, mint and gold for the color scheme.  Also, since the mommy-to-be requested signed children’s books in lieu of cards, she also wanted book elements to be incorporated in the decor – challenge accepted!

The party hostess has an absolutely gorgeous chandelier in the dining room.  We decorated it with branches, butterflies and flowers to incorporate the garden theme.  We also hung butterflies crafted out of scrapbook paper from the chandelier.

The centerpiece of the table included two bird houses and a mint green watering can filled with baby’s breath.  We embellished the centerpiece with butterflies and pink carnation floral arrangements.

We also created these lovely floral arrangements which included butterflies, birds and elegant floral decorations.  The white picket fence crate was the perfect detail for our garden themed floral arrangement.

We also included smaller bird cage decor elements around the hostess’s home.  We love these dainty bird cages!

The pink rosette table runner was also the perfect match for this garden themed food table.  Next, we will take a closer look at the party food.

The mommy-to-be requested both sweet and savory food for the party.  First up are these delicious lemon bars. You may also notice the book page floral accents on the pink bird cage in the background.

Cucumber and cream cheese tea sandwiches are so addicting.  You can’t eat just one!  The crustless bread was shaped into squares by using cookie cutters.

The other sandwich option was chicken salad.  You can also see the book flower detail we included on this display and a butterfly in the background.  It’s all in the details!

We provided two quiche dishes for this party – a Spinach and Mushroom Quiche and a Quiche Loraine.

Scones are also a great addition for a brunch baby shower.  The scone accompaniments included lemon curd, Devonshire cream and homemade peach jam.

In lieu of a cake, the hostess requested mini cupcakes for guests to enjoy.  This bird cage was the perfect display for the cupcakes.

And last but not least, the final feature of this party is the photo backdrop.  We used pink, gold, white and mint streamers as a background and then include paper fans in corresponding colors.  A simple yet festive backdrop for opening presents and taking photos
